In May 2009, Kate released her second album "A Fine Mess" and checked in from the road. She shares the recording process of her album, the reasoning behind the title idea along with her favorite song. She also dishes on a random place she's heard her song playing before. After being signed they released the That’s What She Said EP, with opening slots for acts like; All Time Low, Automatic Loveletter, and Sing It Loud.
