Icarus The Owl is a group of three guys from Portland, Oregon just out to make some tunes to please your ears. The band recently formed in January of 2009, but don’t let that fool you. These guys are not new to the music world. It’s more of a reformation then a new start. Icarus The Owl rose from the ashes of lead singer/guitarist, Joey Rubenstein and Drummer, Mark Haines’ former band Kill Your Ex. Joey and Mark along with Mike Black (bass) are huge fans of every form of melodic music and strive to create melodic sounds both with their vocals and guitars.

Most bands change for the worst when they have to replace a new lead singer. This can happen for various reasons, change in sound that their fan base is displeased with, a change in musical style, or if it just completely shatters fans feelings of the band. Blessthefall however, have changed in a way that I am pleased with. Now don't get me wrong, I loved His Last Walk with Craig Mabbitt singing. But while I can't say the same for Escape The Fate with Craig, I feel like Blessthefall with new lead vocalist Beau Bokan is very successful.
