In a small town outside of Buffalo, New York, there is a best kept secret. This secret is the band The Vandersons. Going by the stage names Anderson, Klaus, Axel, Slide, Franz, Lance, Jean Claude Dam, Tito, and Brownie, consisting of guitar, drums, saxophones, trumpets and trombones, this ska band stands out from other local bands without a doubt. The group formed back in 2006, with members from all different bands. This merger would produce, The Vandersons.

Know Them Before They’re Famous: Death in the Park

On October 8, 2007, the band Hot Rod Circuit announced that they would be breaking up after playing for 10 years. Yet, from every loss comes a new beginning and a new opportunity to succeed. The light among this darkness would be Death in the Park, an indie rock band formed by former HRC front man Andy Jackson and bassist Joe Ballaro. When Ballaro unfortunately left Death in the Park, Jackson rounded out the band’s lineup with Aaron Holmes (drums), Ronnie Gardner (guitar), Derrick Karg (guitar), and Jake Sloan (bass). Do not let the name fool you; this band is the perfect synthesis of pop rock and punk.

UK #11 : Shadows Chasing Ghosts

Shadows Chasing Ghosts are a rock/screamo band from around Essex and London. The four boys Trey (vocals) , Damian (guitar) , Matt (guitar) , Danny (bass) and Danny C (drums) met through friends and their general music scene by going to shows and what not. Taking a great influence from their local music scene the boys got together in order to create their own blend of music. They soon began writing and recording their songs and with the help of popular social networking sites such as MySpace they slowly began acquiring the recognition they deserved. Now, with over 500,000 plays it's safe to say the boys are clearly hit.
