Camera Can’t Lie Days And Days Review

The Days and Days EP is just a tantalizing teaser of whats yet to come from Minnesota rock band Camera Can't Lie. Discovered and managed by Grammy Award-winning producer Stephen Short, the three-piece, who signed to Atlantic records in 2008, have already settled well into the music scene and their new five-track preview of the upcoming full-length will only further confirm that their place is well deserved. Within just four years the guys - Eric Arjes (Vocals/Guitar), Kyle Lindsay (Bass), and Josh Bendell (Drums) - have reached musical heights that most musicians can only dream of, including tours with the likes of Anberlin, The Rocket Summer, and The Almost.

Check Out: The Boxer Rebellion

A four-piece alternative rock band, formed when American Nathan Nicholson (Vocals/Guitar/Keys) met Todd Howe (Guitar) by chance in a London club. At the age of just 19, Nicholson found himself alone in the British capital - following the death of his mother he'd decided to part ways with his hometown Tennessee and head for a fresh start elsewhere - It was here that he formed a strong friendship with Howe, resulting in the two living and writing together. It wasn't long before the duo's musical ideas attracted the attention of college friends Adam Harrison (Bass) and Piers Hewitt (Drums) who would complete the bands line-up.

Julien K Death To Analog CD Review

Okay, so Julien K may sound like the name of a rather fabulous hair stylist - and for the record their haircuts really are fierce - but in reality it's a group made up of four extremely creative individuals who are creating a much needed stir in the rock world. The fearless group of four are not afraid to try something new; "I don't give a shit about sales co-founder Ryan Shuck admits "I give a shit about making a wave" and make a wave they did. The band has already achieved suchfeats as playing the main stage on the Projekt Revolution tour, and having a song featured on the blockbuster film soundtrack to Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, as well as having their debut video featured on playboy.com.

A Day To Remember Homesick Special Edition CD Review

A Day To Remember have long-been a hot topic of conversation in the music scene. With their daring mix of pop-punk and hardcore the five-some from Ocala, Florida have had to work hard to get to where they are and to gain the respect of fans from both genres, and by 'working hard' I don't mean by riding the press wagon for all it's worth, I mean by focusing on the things that are important to them: their music and their fans.

We Shot The Moon – A Silver Lining Review

It's now been over 9 months since the San Diego foursome 'We Shot The Moon' first entered the studio with acclaimed producer Mike Green (Paramore, The Matches, The Higher) to lay down tracks for their sophomore album, A Silver Lining. Initially the band intended for a summer release but various factors – including a jam-packed touring schedule and signing to Afternoon Records in June – set back the premiere date to 13th October (November 22nd Physical release)

Check Out: Rodrigo Y Gabriela

Keeping all of this in mind, it was to my great surprise and pleasure that I would come across perhaps two of the most talented musicians of our generation sitting quite happily in the specialist music section of my local record store. Allow me to introduce the fantastic Mexican guitar duo, Rodrigo Y Gabriela.

Hot Melts CD Review

Hailing from Liverpool, home of The Beatles, it's obvious that the 4 piece pop-rock outfit The Hot Melts self titled debut album has been influenced by their hometown heroes alongside various other established bands from both sides of the pond (referring to the Atlantic Ocean, not the river Mersey...). Weezer, The Strokes and Green Day are just a few of the U.S imports that have clearly influenced the bands first release. The 13-track LP was recorded in Chicago with Marc McClusky (Powerspace, White Tie Affair) and features 50's rock songs spiced up with heavy guitar driven melodies, up-beat songs with juxtaposing lyrics, and - of course – plenty of gang vocals. The band formed in 2006 and is made up of friends Will Bayliss (Lead Vocals/Guitar) Jack Prince (Drums) Jamie Otsa on (Bass) and most recently Chris Melian (Guitar) who replaces ex-member Johnny Green.

Dead By Sunrise (Chester Bennington) Out Of Ashes Album Review

An artists portfolio is a very important and personal item; only the best of their work is picked to be presented and they must chose each piece themselves. It's often recommended that an artist begin and finish the portfolio with the two strongest pieces, descending from each end into the middle with the weakest of the strong.

Paramore Islington Show Review

It's that moment, just before a show begins, when everybody stops. The lights dim, the music is cut and the chatter dies as quick as a candle snuffed out. Every single eye grows wide and flicks to the stage and for that split moment every person in the room is still. From this moment on everything outside of the room is forgotten, we forget out troubles and we forget our 'status' because for this next hour we are all the same. Everyone in the room is there for the same reason and the only thing that matters is the music.
