Craig’s Weekly Update

Craig’s Weekly Update

So first off,

Hello to everyone reading this! I’m not sure how many of you saw my first weekly update but when I wrote it I had my mind strictly on doing a tour date article, after seeing how it turned out I quickly changed my mind. I decided to not only make this just a general update but I also decided to make it a little bit more personal and add my own touch of writing and descriptions for why I’m going to bring up and recommend the things you’ll read about in this article. That way you can either say, “Wow, this kid has some decent taste I’ll read back next week,” and hopefully I can give you some good pointers on things coming up in the world of music, or you can say “Wow, he listens to crap,” and I’ll show some things you’ll never want to listen to, haha. Either way give it a read and see what’s happening, you might be surprised what you’ll find out. Hope you enjoy it.

Bands To Watch Out For:

andthenthere Craigs Weekly Update

And Then There Were None - Straight from New Hampshire this once metal band has taken a new genre in electrorock. Ever since the change they’ve been exploding out from NH music scene and been showing the rest of the united states what they have to offer. They’ve been on tours with Brokencyde, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Secret Secret Dino Club and many more. They’ve also been signed to Tooth and Nail Records. Their debut album Who Speaks For Planet Earth? was a CD I was constantly playing for probably a month after the release.

nsn Craigs Weekly Update

Never Shout Never – Now I probably know what your going to say, I’ve already heard of this kid. I don’t blame you, we all have. I went to see The Scene Aesthetic at a venue about two months ago when they were on tour with NSN. I thought his music was decent and figured I’d check him out and see how he was live. Come to find out when I got there the venue, one that usually never sells out and is run by booking agencies and only hosts local hardcore bands, was sold out that night mostly from 13 year old girls that came from states away to see Never Shout Never. I put him on this list because he also got signed to Warner Brothers Records with a signing bonus of two million dollars. No matter if you like him or not, this kid is going to get huge, a lot bigger than he is now, just watch.

Summer Releases To Look Forward To:

atl Craigs Weekly Update

All Time Low – Nothing Personal – July 7th

1. Weightless

2. Break Your Little Heart

3. Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t)

4. Lost In Stereo

5. Stella

6. Sick Little Games

7. Hello, Brooklyn

8. Walls

9. Too Much

10. Keep The Change, You Filthy Animal

11. A Party Song (The Walk of Shame)

12. Therapy

I personally think this will be the album of the summer. I may just be having high hopes due to the fact that everything else All Time Low has released has not only impressed me greatly but also launched them further and further into the spotlight. From Weightless and Damned If I Do Ya, along with the other clips that I’ve heard, this will be the album to buy this summer.

The Scene Aesthetic – A Type & A Shadow – July 14th

1. Grace Looks Back (Where You Need To Be)

2. Humans

3. Red Rover

4. It’s A Promise, Like A Song

5. Come What May

6. The Man I Am

This is a release I’m personally excited for because I’ve been a fan of this band ever since their first album. Recently saw the guys with Never Shout Never and if any of the new songs they played at that show are on this then this is also a must buy because the new stuff is lyrical genius.

cobra Craigs Weekly Update

Cobra Starship – Hot Mess - August 11th
Track Listing: TBA

This is an album that could really go either way for me. I’ve been a fan of CS since “Hollaback Boy”. I’ve seen them almost every chance I’ve gotten because they always put on a great live show. I loved While The City Sleeps and I loved Viva La Cobra. The two songs I’ve heard have been good, but not quite up to my expectations. Also, the album art is horrendous. I really really hope Cobra Starship surprises me with the content of this album, and knowing what they’re capable of, Hot Mess will be great.

breathe Craigs Weekly Update

Breathe Carolina - Hello Fascination – August 18th

1. Hello Fascination

2. I’m the Type of Person to Take Things Personal

3. Take Me to Infinity

4. Dressed Up to Undress

Liked the sound of this band for awhile know, even though they’re usually grouped with bands like Millionaires, Brokencyde and Jeffree Star, I don’t think people should give them as many complaints as I’ve been seeing them get. They’re last album was pretty catchy from the listens I gave it and I don’t doubt this will be the same way.

Farewell – Run It Up The Flagpole - August 18th

1. We All Fall Down

2. Devoid (That’s What I Think About It)

3. A Collect Call to Arms

4. Rock on the Radio

This is right now All Time Low’s biggest threat for album of the summer. This long awaited second album has been something fans have had they’re fingers crossed for ever since they heard the masterpiece that was Isn’t This Supposed To Be Fun!?. The clip of the new single sounded pretty promising to me. Hopefully the rest of the album is just as good.
