Demi Lovato Summer 2009 Tour

I attended the Boston, Masachusetts stop on Demi Lovato’s headlining Summer 2009 tour. The tour feature her, David Archuleta and girl
band KSM as the opener. My friend Shayla came with me to the show and she and I had VIP passes for it. Sitting fifth row, we had a great view of the stage, even when people stood up. KSM played a four song set, but they were really good. They pumped up the crowd and go everyone involved. Lead singer Shelby Cobra would kick bright green KSM beach balls out into the crowd to get games of Keep It Up going. Overall they played great and I wish their set was longer. I would definitely go see them again.
There was a short break and then David Archuleta took the stage. The crew put a large curtain up, that covered the whole stage. When
David took the stage a light shown on him to show his shadow up on the curtain and he waved to the crowd. The curtain dropped and David began playing his first song, “A Little Too Not Over You”. He did a great job at keeping the crowd singing along and he moved all around the stage. David is charismatic and kept a smile on his face the whole time. He joked and made fun of himself and how he wrote a song about, well himself. David also took the time to introduce his band to the crowd. He played a cover of One Republics “Apologize” and ended the set with his single, “Crush”.
Following David there was a twenty minute intermission and then Demi took the stage. Her first song as “La La Land” and she completely rocked it. The crowd was screaming out the lyrics and the younger kids rushed up to the barricade. She kept grabbing at fans hands and singing to them, even posing for a few pictures from the stage. Her next song was “So Far So Great,” which is the theme song to her TV show, Sonny With A Chance. On the projection screens images from Sonny With A Chance played. Demi’s set

was over all really great. Like David, Demi took the time to introduce her band to the audience. And I have to give her credit; she played a twenty song set including her two songs in her encore. Demi’s included a cover of Aretha Franklin’s “Natural Woman” and her encore included “Get Back” and “Don’t Forget”.
