Jess Grenier: Please state your name and what you do in the band.
Topher: I’m Topher, I play Guitar and keys in the band Let’s Get It
Tyler: I’m Tyler, I play guitar and I back up sing for Let’s Get It.
Joe: I’m Joe, I sing for Let’s Get It
Kevin: I’m Kevin and I play drums for Let’s Get it
Jess Grenier: How did Let’s Get It get started?
Tyler: It’s kinda the story a lot of bands have like, we all played in different bands around our area and one day we combined forces, evil forces, to make what we now call Let’s Get It. I guess we were all just friends from schools in different areas and some of us just met through different various connections. We just sort of… I dunno, we lived together for a little bit and started writing music together.
Jess Grenier: Do you have any main musical influences?
Joe: We have a lot of influences actually. All of us would give you a different answers, we all listen to different types of music. We’re all just ultimately in tune with pop culture; wither it be cartoons or T.V shows or comic books, just things that just inspire us ya know to write and be expressive. Musically, we like Hip-Hop, Rock stuff and Pop stuff, its way across the board and we just do our best to turn it into one piece people can grasp onto.
Jess Grenier: You guys have an EP Digital Spaces, how was the recording process for that?
Kevin: The Recording process was incredible we worked with guy named Joey Stergest of Foundation Studios, he’s a great guy, we had a week to do that entire EP and that dude worked his ass off for our band and we owe him a lot. It was honestly a good time cause Tyler used to work with him back in the day and we worked with him from previous bands overall it was a great experience to work with one of our friends, record our first EP as Let’s Get It.
Jess Grenier: Do you guys have any plans to record an album or another EP?
Joe: We’ve been writing a lot, a lot, a lot. That’s were all our focus is going; it’s just working on these next batch of songs that are going to be awesome. For the next level which is our next album, coming out hopefully either the end of this year or early next year so, be looking for that. So yeah, we’re demoing right now and constantly writing and getting better and becoming better story tellers and we hope you guys can appreciate that when the time comes.
Jess Grenier: So how is tour going?
Tyler: This tour has been good. We’re out with the bands VersaEmerge and I See Stars both of which are full of great people so we really lucked out on that regard. It’s a little bit of a shorter run, just over two weeks; the tour is mainly centered around Bamboozle which we played on May 1st which was awesome. Now were just finishing out these dates with good friends and the shows been great. Overall its fun, I feel like we definitely vibe well with the bands.
Jess Grenier: How was Bamboozle?
Topher: Bamboozle was probably the best show, I know I’ve ever played, It was really rad seeing thousands of people just like, thousands and thousands of people screaming our words and everything, it was quite literally breath taking. It was really cool just walking around Bamboozle and see everyone that we like, we know so many people there from like being on the road and playing shows with everyone, it was just a lot of fun. Very, uh, ego boosting.
Jess Grenier: Do you have any tours that are being planned after this tour?
Kevin: Right now our main priority again is like Joe said is writing our full length, hopefully record that this summer. So our ambitions for touring are kinda on hold right now as we prepare for our full length you know, recording it and hopefully, ideally we’re looking at a potential fall tour, that’s all up in the air but right now that be… hopefully fall would be our next tour.
Jess Grenier: If you could tour with any three bands who would they be and why? They can also be either dead or alive.
Kevin: You guys can take one each.
Topher: Queen
Tyler: Awe, that was good
Topher: Yeah, that was
Tyler: Uhm, Linkin Park
Joe: Uh, Incubus
Jess Grenier: What is one fact that your fans might not know about you?
Joe: We are going camping tomorrow. For the next two days we’re going camping so our fans might not know.
Topher: We’re going to eat so many frogs, create so much urine
Joe: We’re going to drink water straight from a stream, well maybe, I dunno, we’re looking up things to make sure we don’t die and that we’re going to survive to the best of our abilities, but if some of us don’t make then our fans will know why.
Kevin: This could be the last video we’ve ever seen
Jess: The last footage of Let’s Get It
Jess Grenier: Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Joe: Just thank you for coming out to shows supporting us, make sure you guys totally check us out on Twitter @letsgetitband all of our Twitters are on there, MySpace.com/letsgetit, we’re on Facebook, so definitely stay in touch, we’re real easy to get a hold of and be on the look out for new material cause we’re really stoked about it.
Kevin: I’m going to say something I’ve never said before; The colors that are around us are that which define what we see. I’ve never said that before so that’s a first for me.
Tyler: I wanna say something. If you don’t see us again than this is our death.
Kevin: This is our goodbye.
Tyler: And everything goes to my girlfriend… that’s all I got.
Topher: I want to say something… if you don’t see them again then it’s because I out survived them. There is no way nature can bring me down. I will overcome.
Joe: Can I say one more thing? I didn’t want it to be like this… I didn’t want it to be like this… I didn’t want it to be like this.
