Up&Coming UK Band #1

In 2007 a group of four boys Alex (guitar & vocals), Julian (drums, backing vocals), Kerry (bass and backing vocals) and Kev (guitar) got together and formed The Auteur. From then on, they set out to show the UK music scene what they could do. They began with creating their power pop sound whilst building up their fan base across the country. They sold numerous pressings of their four track “2007 demos” disk before signing to LAB records in June 2008. This was after their tour alongside two of the labels other artists MiMi Soya and Lost On Campus. By the end of 2008 The Auteur had played several sold out shows with rising bands such as Attack! Attack! and Lights & Sounds.

Their “Hey! Watch This…” single was released 6^th April 2009.

So far this year The Auteur has had the privilege of headlining The Great Slam Dunk Escape with support from Canterbury and Out Of Sight as well as playing Download Festival. They are now also confirmed to play T In The Park inScotland on July 12^th and Underage Festivals August 2^nd.
