After waiting three years since their self-titled CD, on March 15, 2009, This Providence released their third album called Who Are You Now? After the album came out, This Providence joined the Let’s Make A Mess Tour with Hey Monday, The Friday Night Boys, Stereo Skyline and The Bigger Lights. They are also on a few Warped Tour dates, as well, this year.

The CD starts out with the song “Sure As Hell,” which isn’t that long but it gives you a feel of what’s to look forward on this album. The following song “Letdown” is one of my personal favorites off the album. Everyone has had at least one or two “letdowns” in their lives, which makes this song for everyone no matter who you are. “Waste Myself” the third song off the album is definitely a cute love song. It’s a good song to put on a mix tape or playlist for someone you care about.

Track number seven “My Beautiful Rescue (Renovated)” (the original tack was featured on This Providence’s self-titled album). This version, isn’t like the original, it has much different feel. It’s hard to say which one is better because they’re both really good.

The next song “That Girl’s A Trick” was the first song released on the internet before the CD. This Providence released a music video for this song, just couple of months ago in June. I actually love this song because you might have heard stories about guys driven crazy by some girl they saw. Maybe your best friend, brother or even you (if you’re a guy) had this happen and if so, I suggest this song for you.

As for the vocals and lyrics through out this album, I give them high ratings. This Provence is extremely musically creative of course, this is my opinion, but I strongly advise everyone to buy this CD. What’s in the future for this band? Well, so far they’ll be touring with Cartel soon with The Summer Set, The Dares and Runner Runner. I hope that we can expect another album from them too.
