Winter. November 2008. South East London. A little more than a year ago the crucial decision to form a band entitled “Adelaide” was made. This decision required great passion and commitment for music and was made possible thanks to Dan Nash (vocals) , John Lloyd (guitar&vocals) , Josh Leach (bass), Dave Fee (drums&vocals) and the newest member of the band, Dave Williams (guitar). Adelaide are band who do not only create great music but who allow their music to mix between both the sounds of soft rock and pop. You know the type? The one with the catchy choruses and memorable guitar riffs. Similar to other talented bands such as You Me At Six, The Audition and Kids In Glass Houses.
With writing and recording music being one of the most important things for a band the boys recorded their debut EP “Journals” in September 2009 at Outhouse Studios, Reading. Yet alongside writing and recording the issue of touring is just as important. Regarding full tours, the boys of Adelaide have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Eat Sleep Attack, Dissolved In and Tonight we fire. However they have also had fantastic opportunities where they have played alongside top chart acts You Me At Six, Tonight Is Goodbye, Luke Pickett and even Peter Andre!
With 2009 coming to an end the boys are already working on what next year could bring for them. With touring taking up their schedule for both January and February and with the plan to spend another week in April touring too they hope to focus on getting some new songs up at the end of February. 2010 could easily be a big year for the boys of Adelaide especially since they’re beginning to accumulate great exposure about themselves with their online following of fans increasing by the day.
