UK #14 : Kiss Corona

By Bekka Collins

Grantham, Nottingham. Not so long ago a combination of two local bands formed the cheeky rock-pop quad that are now known as “Kiss Corona”. The band- made up of Phil Clark (vocals & guitar) , Luke Turner (lead guitar) , Steve Clark (bass & vocals) and Sam Girling (drums) only formed in July 2009. Despite the fact of lacking in time, the boys are definitely not lacking in dedication and determination towards their musical ambitions. Currently, although they only have four songs on myspace, in less than 7 months they have already crossed the 84,000 music player mark.

With that achievement alone being impressive the boy’s keep setting the bar higher and higher. In August 2009, a month after forming they released their debut E.P “Look To The Stars”. And now they have already scheduled their first UK tour for April with their good friends Scrapbook Heroes and are spending the first few months of 2010 writing material as well as completing their A-levels. Yep, the boys are still students and have already achieved way more than some bands who are pursuing music full time!

With their online fanbase growing rapidly day by day the boys are now ready to take on the life of touring as well as Kiss Corona full time after June. With this is mind they’re looking for management and labels to be in touch after their A-levels are completed, so if that’s what you do i’d snap now up the opportunity to take them under your wing before somebody else does. As well as looking for management and such the boy’s are helping promote their tour by setting up a street team, if that interests you you know where to go.

Kiss Corona’s E.P Look To The Stars” can be purchased from iTunes UK and US as well as through

    Hey James

Well as it states in the first sentence "Not so long ago a combination of two local bands formed the cheeky rock-pop quad that are now known as “Kiss Corona” "

So maybe the myspace was one of the two previous bands before it was kiss corona?

    Hey James
well i think that depends as it states in the first sentence "Not so long ago a combination of two local bands formed the cheeky rock-pop quad that are now known as “Kiss Corona” "
So maybe, the myspace was one of the two previous band in 2005 before it was Kiss Corona?

I meant myspace not facebook... sorry. But seriously, who are they trying to kid? Either the myspace was set up for a previous band, or they lied about how long they've been together.... ARFFF! Rant over, sorry Bekka x
  • James
I'm confused... they've only been together a few months yet the band set up facebook in 2005.... Clearly theres a lie somewhere. This annoys me when bands do this.

    Heres proof- Signup Date: 12/11/2005

They used one of their old bands pages, but they keep chaninging whats on their player so the plays look really low, they must have had like 25,000- 30,000 since theyve been KC nice guys though, t33h33 ;D
  • David
Wow, that's pretty impressive for only being together for a few months.
