Up And Coming UK Band 3

After forming only a year ago in July 2008 a group of friends Drew (vocals), Jake (bass), Ben (guitar & vocals), Liam (drums) and Lee (guitar) created the band the UK now know as ‘Summerlin’ in their hometown of Leeds. Despite not being part of the music scene for long and still being an unsigned band, Summerlin have already achieved goals people believe are almost impossible to reach for such a new band. For example their catchy pop punk/rock tunes have allowed them to release their first EP which is available to buy from Big Cartel.

Their ‘So Make Your Move’ EP was released June 2009.

Summerlin are building up their fan base through myspace and currently have a total of 35,555 friends and have generated over 830,000 profile views within the last year and a half, which is a great success alone. Along with this Summerlin have just finished touring with the popular ‘My Passion’ from London who are currently nominated for one of Kerrangs Best British Newcomers. Summerlin have also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with bands such as Sherwood, Paige and Army of Freshmen.

Summerlin now plan to continue touring and promoting their new EP as well as writing some new material. They already have upcoming tours set up for September and October and they hope that in the future they will once again be sharing the stage with ‘My Passion.’ Overall 2009 is a very important year for the boys of Summerlin and as it unfolds I’m sure we will all be seeing and hearing a lot more from these boys.
