US Band #1: The Fastest Kid Alive

In January 2008 a group of four boys Gary (vocals & guitar), Kyle (bass), Mark (vocals & guitar) and Zane (drums) got together to form the band The Fastest Kid Alive. The boys from Chicago, Illinois have been working extremely hard to ensure they keep their fan base up to date in everything that they do musically. This has paid off as although they are still an unsigned band, and to some an unknown band they have already gained over 1 million Myspace plays which is mainly down to the dedication of their fans.

Surprisingly, when it comes to touring the boys mostly tour on their own.They have however done some tours with Breathe Electric and Jamestown Story. Also they are scheduled to play with bands such as Mathletes, A Kidnap In Colour, Go Crash Audio, Select Start, Four Letter Lie and Rookie of The Year.

Regarding releases the boys have had some great success. To start with in June 2008 they released their 5 track EP Listen Up. Then in July 2009 they released their second 5 track EP Just A Little Brighter. Both EP’s are available to buy from iTunes. The boys also recorded a music video for their single “Don’t Sleep Til The Music Stops” on July 30th.

In the future we can expect The Fastest Kid Alive to continue to work hard each day to excel the band. They are currently in the process of getting on some tours and they plan to release more music over a period of 3 – 4 months.
